A forest fog set sail today,
A thaw in winter weather,
Its wake — a floating veil of gray,
Across the snow and heather.

Far from these woods, the fog of war,
As men assail each other,
Its wake — a trail of blood and gore
‘Cross fields of frozen brothers.
